The new platform will go live on 14 December 2023!

This article will explain what you can expect for the upcoming downtime and what this means for your existing subscription.

After looking at feedback and data from thousands of our learners over the last 3 years, we’ve made significant changes to the content, design, activities, scholarship options, and membership durations.

We redesigned the learning platform from the ground up to make it easier and clearer to put theory into practice. This includes the addition of recommended tasks for every key concept and technique, and a dashboard focused on practice and action.

Based on our forecasts and beta test results, we expect it will:

Across thousands of learners, we found that time pressure from short memberships was one of the most consistent and common pieces of feedback. Learners spending a full year on the program achieve the best results, by far.

And it’s not even close.

We found that when learners feel rushed and pressured to finish the program quickly, they reported significantly less fulfilment and improvement.

Learners need time and freedom to properly explore and upskill, without worrying about enrolment dates and deadlines. That’s why we’ve moved to a standard one-year program for all learners and improved our financial aid and scholarship processes to keep it affordable for everyone.

We’ve added several new features that dramatically increase the ability to find answers to your questions quickly and easily. Over the coming months, we will continue to improve this with the goal to cut down the time spent looking for answers to even highly technical questions by 80%.

As we move to a year-long program, we are also able to provide more extensive support options, including (in the near future) a world-first AI meta-learning analyser designed to review and provide immediate feedback on your techniques and learning efforts.

This new build wasn’t an upgrade. It was a remake. We fundamentally re-built the entire system to be hundreds of times faster and more stable. This means less down-time, less disruptions and a faster experience across the entire platform.

There are two things you should know:

The icanstudy.com website will be in maintenance mode from Wednesday 13 December 7 AM Melbourne time to Thursday 14 December 5 PM Melbourne time. During this time, you will not be able to access the program or your account details. No payments will be charged during this time and you will not lose days on your subscription. Two days will be added to your subscription to compensate for the 34 hours of downtime.

You will have access to the new platform from 14 December 5 PM Melbourne time.

Once you are migrated to the new learning platform, you will receive an email to action. Please complete all the steps below to successfully activate your account on the new platform for future access:

If your subscription is still active by 13 December 2023 (AEDT), and your next expected subscription renewal is after 14 December 2023, your subscription will no longer auto-renew and will expire on the next renewal date of your existing subscription. This is because we will be on a new platform by this time.

For example, if your monthly subscription renewed on 20 November 2023, its next expected renewal date is 20 December 2023. However, because this is after 14 December 2023, it will not auto-renew and, instead, expire. We recommend you consider joining the new one-year program as explained below.

To continue accessing your membership, we highly recommend you to consider joining the new one-year program. As you are a current member, you are eligible for an exclusive 35% discount for 12 months access (Pay ~$322 USD, not $499 USD). After 14 December 2023, you will find an option to renew by clicking here. From here, you can follow the payment instructions to purchase at the discounted rate. If your subscription is renewing before 13 December 2023 (AEDT), you can swap your subscription to a yearly subscription now by following the instructions on https://help.icanstudy.com/en/articles/6131596-how-do-i-upgrade-downgrade-my-subscription

Since this is your first time joining the new platform, you will still be eligible for the exclusive 35% discount automatically applied at checkout.

This will mean you will be a part of the scenario below explained for those ‘on a yearly subscription’. Your account will be migrated to the new platform with an expiry date 1 year from the date your subscription upgrades.
